09.19.2008 - A night of stars
The first bout of group C of 2008/2009 ECL started with our men's team against the German Frickenhausen.
Guo Jinhao, Monteiro and Bobocica didn't disappoint our expectations. At 20.00 o'clock, both teams presented the following line-up: Tan Ruiwu(A), Steger Bastian(B), Matsudaira Kenta (C) and Guo Jinhao(X), Joao Monteiro(Y), Bobocica Mihai(Z).
Guo Jinhao played the first match, he encountered the first emotions of the game but he managed to reverse the initial disadvantage, with a 11-7 score, in the fifth and last game, winning the first score.
Then it was the turn of our team's second debutant, Joao Monteiro, who knows well the German teams: he used the occasion to double the score, defeating the strong Steger Bastian. 3 to 1 was the result.
Third and last match for Bobo, who imitated his team mates and won 3 to 1 against Matsudaira Kenta, giving to the team the first place in the group C ranking.
